Die production is a large and vital part of developing new car models. Preparing the dies is a complicated process that is both expensive and extensive, with considerable manual input. In a world where product life cycles are becoming ever shorter and time to market for new products becomes more important, it is necessary to deal with and change the way dies are being made.

The philosophy of CAMITO is to develop a way of producing with a minimum of manual work. We have therefore developed a refined tool & die product consisting of grey iron with steel implants, which allows us to eliminate a considerable part of manual work and machining already during the casting process. This is a totally new method of producing dies, which has many advantages throughout all phases of the tooling process. This concept is called CAMITO = Cast Mix Tooling.
